2025 Process and Schedule

Investigators seeking funding must submit an initial Letter of Intent (LOI).  The LOI is to help reduce the initial time and effort required by applicants, their collaborators, and administrative research staff to apply for funding.  Selected applicants will be invited to submit a full application on July 28, 2025.

Timeline:

• May 1, 2025 – Proposal Central Systems opens for applicants
• June 17, 2025 – Pre-proposal Letter of Intent due by 5:00pm ET
• July 28, 2025 – Invitation to Apply for Full Proposal
• September 22, 2025 – Full Proposal Deadline due by 5:00pm ET
• December 15, 2025 – Notifications to Applicants
• January 2026 – Award Start Date

Award Amount

The Direct Grant Award will fund $25,000-$150,000, including indirect costs, for two (2) years. Optional third year for clinical studies must be applied for at the time of application.
